Music is a gift from God that people of all ages enjoy! Through music class at St. John, children are given the opportunity to grow not only in their understanding and appreciation of music.

In the elementary grades, music class focuses on age-appropriate skills and concepts of music. Through singing, dancing, playing instruments, and movement, children gain a greater understanding of how music works and the effect it has on their lives.

Music class in middle school allows students to use the knowledge and skills that they have acquired during elementary school to further their appreciation of music. There are a variety of options including General Music, Handbells, Band, and Choir.

This is my first year teaching at St. John. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Concordia Chicago. I feel extremely blessed to be here and am excited to share the gift of music with all of my students!
