    Miss Bethany Stellwagen
Experiencing the gifts!
Welcome to Kindergarten and 1st Grade! These are exciting years of growth and new discoveries. Every child enters their first years of school with different academic strengths and weaknesses. Wherever your child is academically, he/she will be growing this year! It is my job to keep them challenged and on their own track of learning. My goal is for them to enjoy each day and know that LEARNING CAN BE FUN!!!!

At St. John, we also have the wonderful opportunity to teach children about the forgiveness and love of Christ. Our school’s Bible verse theme this year is from Leviticus 19:1-2. “The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the LORD your God, am holy.’” As we receive the Holy Sacraments at the altar and baptismal font, the holiness of Christ dwells within us. As a teacher at St. John, it is my responsibility to bring Christ’s holiness from the altar and font, out into the world and especially share that holiness with the children. While receiving the Sacraments at St. John, your child too will become equipped with the holiness of God and learn to spread Christ’s love to others with confidence and joy. In good days and in bad, we will daily remind one another of the great gift of holiness within us because of Christ.

Thank you for giving your child the gift of a great education, and the opportunity to learn about Jesus Christ—the greatest gift of all!

God's blessings,
Miss Stellwagen
