The staff and students of St. John Lutheran School's Third Grade are dedicated to living and learning as children of God. As such they strive to develop servant hearts and with the help of the Holy Spirit, share the saving message of Jesus Christ with all people.
Third Grade is a time of wonder exploring Old and New Testament history in religion; basic Life, Earth, and Physical Science concepts through our inquiry-based, hands-on, minds-on, Scripture-based curriculum; exploration of "Our Communities" through our Social Studies curriculum; an exposure to all literary genre with all of its challenging vocabulary, grammar, and spelling components through our Language Arts Curriculum; and a systematic approach to and implementation of the Writing Process through our Writing program. These content areas along with music, art, physical education, library, weekly chapel experiences, servant events, field trips, and assemblies contribute to a well rounded education with a Christ-centered focus. |
