Presently, I am responsible for eighth grade homeroom, teaching middle school social studies and a seventh grade algebra class. This year I will be starting my thirty-ninth year in the teaching ministry and have served congregations in Chicago, Lombard, and Wheaton. I received my BA and MA degrees from Concordia, River Forest. I have served as an athletic director and coach for he past thirty-eight years.
God's whole creation was designed to give Him honor and glory. Therefore, my belief is that all we do at St. John must be to the glory of God. As people who have seen and experienced the love of God in Jesus, we respond to His love through our lives and service to Him and each other. Christian education at St. John seeks to help children lead lives worthy of their calling as God's children and to equip them to serve as "lights of the world" and "salt of the earth" in their homes and communities.
Jesus' earthly ministry involved taking care of people and their needs. Following Jesus' example teachers at St. John continue that ministry to the whole child. It is my goal to help in the development of the spiritual, mental, emotional, social and physical aspects that are essential to learning and to living the Christian faith.
