FANTASTIC IN FOURTH
FANTASTIC IN 4th
The expectations in 4th grade are high, both for the students and their teacher. Our classroom's learning environment encourages students to take risks without fear of making a mistake. There is a supportive and safe atmosphere to share ideas and questions that help all off the students feel welcome to participate and be engaged. Care, respect, and compassion are regular themes for how students are treated and how they are expected to treat others.
As a teacher I am blessed with the opportunity to help my students be active in their learning. I incorporate a style of teaching that allows students to use their strengths and interests to enhance their learning. All students learn in different ways and I try to use different strategies to meet their individual needs. With this in mind, having fun as we learn, mixed with laughter and joy makes our classrom a place we all want to be.
Mr. William Wargo
I teach math, science, social studies, religion, and language arts for 4th Grade. I am beginning my 9th year at St. John. I was born in Michigan and I attended Concordia University in River Forest Illinois where I received a B.S. in elementary education. I am currently working on my Master in Reading Instruction through Concordia River Forest. My career as a teacher began at St. John Lutheran School in Forest Park, Illinois where I also taught 4th grade.

In 1999 I accepted a call to teach 4th grade at St. John Lutheran School in Wheaton. I have a total of 12 years of teaching experience. Every year that I spend at St. John I am reminded of how blessed I am to have the wonderful families and staff members that I have the privilege to serve and work with.
